" Right after any horizon, a new one appears ... "
The project will be implemented in Pwani Region at Bagamoyo District in Gongoni village at Kondo. Bagamoyo is one of the six districts of the Pwani Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by the Tanga Region, to the west by the Morogoro Region, to the east by the Indian Ocean and to the south by the Kibaha District. The name Bagamoyo came from the word “lay your heart” (Bwaga = lay and Moyo = heart in Swahili). The name came from the despair felt by those who had been captured inland and transported to Bagamoyo where they waited to be shipped to Zanzibar and the Far East. Knowing that they would never see their homeland again, the saying goes that they left their hearts in the port-town, which therefore became known as Bagamoyo. Kondo is found in the ward of Zinga approx. 60 km North from Dar es Salaam and 20 km South of Bagamoyo center whereby fishing and agriculture are the major livelihood activities in Kondo Village.
